49. MAMA Flat Yentafo

Brand: MAMA
Name: Flat Yentafo
Price: ~0,40 €

I already posted about the MAMA Yentafo soup with the thin rice noodles (see HERE). So this review is actually obsolete, because they taste the same. However I took some pictures, so enjoy:

ERMAHGERD IT'S PINK!!!
added some sweetly fried tofu pieces in there...... oouuuhhhhhwwwww they taste like heaven

The thing about the noodles is: They stick together, and those fat strangs are too hard. That's why I would recommend the thin noodles over these flat ric noodles, though they are not that good, either.

48. Yum Yum Kimchi Flavour

Brand: Yum Yum
Name: Kimchi Flavour
Price: 0,35 €

why is this picture so fucking crappy jolted?!?
Lately I get the feeling that the noodle soups I eat get more and more whack, effecting the posts in this blog that get equally more and more whack. What can I say? How can I apologize for that? I don't know. Maybe if I upload some pictures where my ass looks nice, hahahahaha. (That's what he said.) Well, who cares anyways?
(=.=)

Just one pack of powder, and the powder looks not even red, but orange. After pouring boiling water and waiting...

...it just looks like any other Yum Yum noodle soup. So boring. The noodles taste pretty unspectacularly like any other Yum Yum noodles: salty, not that bad, not that outstanding either.
The broth was quite a thing: If you expect to find any Kimchi or Kimchi flavour in here, I must tell you, my friend, that you're barking up the wrong tree. There is not the slightest hint of Kimchi, the soup is simply hot and salty, and the hotness was reaaaally whack on top of that. This soup is a great disappointment.

47. MAMA Oriental Style Instant Noodles Vegetable Flavour

Brand: MAMA
Name:  Oriental Style Instant Noodles Vegetable Flavour
Price: 0,40€

Today is so hot so I don't wanna write much. I have a lot of pictures for you to look at! :D

The yellow bag contains oil, which is very liquid.

I kinda had the feeling that the noodles did absorb a lot of water...

...so I added some more hot water, but the soup was very insipid after that. Better eat it just like that. I have to mention that the broth is really not that special anyways, not really tasting like vegetables to be honest.
I added fried tofu strips for an increased delicious look.

Rating: The soup was pretty much as boring as my review, so it receives a B.

46. MAMA Yentafo Rice Vermicelli

Brand: MAMA
Name: Yentafo Rice Vermicelli
Price: 0,50 €

This package of MAMA's Yentafo noodle soup would easily win the prize for kitschiest package/best colour combination. Yentafo is some kind of sauce that originates from Thailand. (And it's PINK!!!! Ermahgerd!)
To be honest, I have little knowlegde about Thai kitchen. I'm sorry. I haven't tried any Yentafo dishes before to be able to make conclusions and comparisons between instant noodle soup Yentafo and real Yentafo, so I'm just rating this soup out of personal taste.

blah. Powder, fat and rice noodles. Nothing special here.

The broth also takes the prize for prettiest/most unexpected colour in noodle soup. It tastes sweet if you only eat the noodles, and more sourish and salty when you drink the broth. It's also a liiiiiiittle bit hot, but almost merely remarkably. The noodles are shitty, though. They do not really get soft, but stay somewhat hard after boiling, although they are so thin. It feels weird when you chew them. The soup would be so much better if the noodles weren't that disappointing.

45. Yum Yum Vegetable Flavour (cup)

Brand: Yum Yum
Name: Vegetable Flavour
Price: ~1,20 €

Hello. As you may know, we already did a Yum Yum Vegetable Flavour review earlier (see here), but the plastic bag version. This time we have the cup, and there are planty of different things that I want to introduce to you.

First of all, we have some stray vegetable and carotte flakes and corn chunks inside the cup. It's quite a lot, I have to say, compared to some other cup and bowl noodles that I have seen. There is also a bag of  flavouring fat and some chili powder included, which can not be found in the regular plastic bag version. The amount of flavouring surely adds to a better taste.

Well, looking at this blurred picture because the steaming hot steam hit my camera lense makes me hungry again. It just tasted loads better than the simple vegetarian noodles plastic pack. Those were quite good, but with all the extra stuff from the cup, it's so much better. These noodles are absoluely recommendable!

(I also think that the chicken cup contains chicken chunks, etc.)

44. Thai Delight Hokkien Noodles

Brand: Thai Delight
Name: Hokkien Noodles
Price: 2,20 €

Today we have a kinda different sort of instant food: The almost-done-only-add-sauce-noodles that come in a stylish chinese-restaurant-take-away-noodle-box-package. There are also different dishes with different packageing colours form Thai Delight. If you read further, you'll find out why these will never be featured in our blog.

The noodles look and taste like spaghetti, which I disliked. Hokkien mee actually contains noodles which are fried. These noodles had not the slightest hint of frying aroma. Instead, it contained another package with a dark brown sauce with baby corn pieces. The instructions are pretty simple, put everything in the box and heat in the microwave for 2 min.

So after 2 min of microwaving, this came out: The noodles still stuck together, and the sauce smelling really weird, kinda sweet and salty. I also screamed for my mommy because I thought I prepared the noodles wrong. After stirring firmly, the noodles kinda got apart (not really). They are a little bit too dry, even with the sauce. And they tasted like common spaghetti. The sauce is reaaaaaaaally weird, it tasted... not good. Too sweet, slightly peppery, and with an eerie after taste that I can't really depict. It was really not good. The corn pieces were pretty tasteless, too, which was very disappointing. I'm glad to know that I will never ever try any other Thai Delight noodle boxes!

43. Vewong A-One Tương tàu

Brand: Vewong
Name: A-One Tương tàu
Price: ?

Hello, dear readers, followers and random people that got lost in the Internet to stumble across this blog. I rose from the dead to, eh, blog. Sorry for keeping you waiting. (=_____=)"

This ramen here was actually a birthday present from my sister. No, wait.... could it be that she even gave me that before? I really can't remember. Well, anyways, here's the review:

First of all, I have to admit that, after eating these noodles, I thought I was having no fucking clue what Tương tàu actually is. I even googled it to make sure that Tương tàu is actually what I though it was before. It's a salty sauce made of black beans, containing whole pieces of them, too. What I went through here though was... pretty unexpected, I should say.

Only by opening the pack and seeing that it contained TWO(!!!!) packs of glutamate made me go like whuad. I even assumed that this soup must taste pretty decent if it contains so much glutamate. The bag down left I threw away immediately, it was chili. The one above contained a preeeeeeeeeeeeeetty strange oil/mass/fat portion, with little dark crumbs of something I cannot identify. One could suppose it was the black beans, but... go on reading, I'm still traumatised, actually...

here it still looks good, because I haven't tasted it yet

The red oil on the surface wasn't spicy, this soup wasn't spicy at all. At the beginning it tasted kinda sourish, later the broth is just salty, and very plain. I didn't taste any black beans at all, I have to admit. And I didn't even taste the two bags of glutamate! The broth was a 3/10.

And then, this popped up:

These curious dark, round crumbs. They looked like pepper, but they aren't. They tasted salty, which did remind me of black bean sauce though. But were crunchy. The crunchy type that, if you eat chicken drumsticks and come to the thinner lower side, you come upon some kind of darker bone stuff that is softer than actual bone and taste of nothing, but if you accidently chew it, it will stick between your teeth. Can anybody relate? Well it sounds pretty weird but these crumps reminded me of that.... I even tried to figure out what that was by looking it up on the ingredients, but..... I found nothing. This is so fucking suspicious, I tell ya.

Rating: I would not recommend this Ramen to you since I find it so suspicious and odd... Can somebody maybe tell me what that the black crumbs really are? Does anybody know? Oh my god, WHAT DID I JUST EAT?!?!??!?! (/;  A ;)/ (D)

42. MAMA Instant Bean Thread Clear Soup

Brand: MAMA
Name: Instant Bean Thread Clear Soup
Price: ?

I really love these fat Shiitake mushrooms on the package... And this time, it proves that even sometimes you really get what is on the cover, even with instant noodles!...

...but if you think you'll get REAL Shiitake and coriander and that weird-looking stuff on the left of the pack that kinda looks like hash (I mean the meat, you dumbass!!!), you're really dumb, hahahahahhahahahahahahahaha. The size of the noodle brick is pretty lousy, too.

Here's why I wrote you et what's pictured on top: the flavouring fat really tastes of Shitake. It was stunning! It also smells really strongly like coriander, which I personally don't like that much. Though the soup looks very boring, the noodles were pretty good: the possibility of choking on them is pretty high, that's what makes them good! So slimy and slippery, just be careful not to eat them too fast, har har. I finfished the bowl in about 2 minutes, don't try to beat my record, mate.
The only bad thing here is the sand that remains, particels from the flavour powder that failed to dissolve.

41. MAMA vegetable flavour

Brand: MAMA
Name: oriental style vegetable flavour
Price: 0,40

OH MY FUCKING GOSH I hate oriental flavour!!! As you might know, if you are a loyal reader of this blog, you may have noticed that I already wrote a review about some oriental noodles (Read it HERE) which I found really aweful. And as you may have noticed, this blog was kinda abandoned for a while, sorry for that. Being a student sucks.

I have to say that the image on the package looks very appealing though, with all that vegetable, mushrooms, BROCCOLI and the gold-shimmering foil. If I'd have to award the best-looking ramen package, this one would have good chances to win I guess. HAHAHAHAH.

Contains one pack of fat and one pack of powder

The result looks very boring, too, I suddenly wonder where the fuck this green leaf/vegetable thing comes from... Well, the Ramen tasted pretty weird in the beginning, but after that impression, it tasted very mushroom-y. Not quite as good as A-One's vegetable ramen I have to say, but still ok. You just have to overcome the first mouthful. I'm just very glad that this one didn't taste 'oriental style' at all, and that means not the taste of dreadful WAI WAI noodles. I'm still traunatized, folks.

XXXIX. NONGSHIM HooRooRooK Noodle Soup

Hello!
Long time no see! It's the years end and I would have felt kinda bad, if I havent posted at least on the last day. xD
So here is one of my rare, but full of quality review with pretty, high quality pictures on this special noodle soup in this pretty packaging! Enjoy! :D

It's the NONGSHIM HooRooRooK Noodle Soup from Korea! What an awesome name, for an awesome noodle soup in such an awesome designed package! *A*
It was love, the moment I set eyes on these in the store! ♥

The noodles are light and thin. I believe they are somen noodles.
With it comes three super cute and pretty little sachets. One with soup paste, soup base and seasoning flakes. ^^

Unfortunately the text was in korean, which I can't read, but look at those cute pictures (and that cute nail of mine! xD)
I'm sure, the text is cute too... err...

You have to cook it in boiling water for about 5 minutes for the noodles to be soft. So it's unfortunately not for the lazy ones...
Add the pink soup base and vegetables from the white satchet and make it boil! :D
When putting in the vegetable it smells of seaweed. *____*
Contains bits of cucmber, chilli, bambus, leek and more...

When cooked, it should look like this. (I'm drooling like stupid, while writing this right now at midnight. -.-'')

After you put it in the bowl, you add the soup paste, from the small blue satchet.
The soup sauce, is like a mix of soy sauce and sesame oil, and has such an awesome smell! *A*

It has perfect chewynessa and is sooooooooo delicous, words can't describe it!!! *________*
It's like real korean noodle soup, if you have been to korea and have eaten one!
Slight spicyness and a little sesame smell makes it even more delicous and authentic.
This noodle soup definately has potential to look like the picture. Awesome! :D
Seriously, this is more than your simple three-minute-waiting-and-mindless-chugging-in-your-stomach-noodle-soup. THIS IS SO MUCH MORE! A soup, so rich in flavours and really close to original korean-restaurant-soup, you will love it! ♥
A+++ with

XXXVIII. NONG SHIM Hot & Spicy AnSungTangMyun Ramyun

Brand: NONG SHIM
Name: Hot & Spicy AnSungTangMyun Ramyun
Price: 1,20 €

It is said that eating hot food is supposed to warm you up from the inside, so perfect for winter, right?
So I tested this one especially on its hotness and the amount of nose water that it produces. Read futher for the result, biotches! Don't only look at the pictures! (Ò__Ó)

This was a 'FUUUUUCK-my-bowl-is-too-small'-moment, which often occurs when eating Korean instant noodles, haha, those bloody huge big-ass noodle bricks -.-"

So I broke the brick in four extremely symmetrical pieces, (hahaha what a badass I am), and poured the red powder above it. The flavouring didn't smell hot, to be honest, it smelled like bolognese-sauce. That made me very curious about the broth.
It turned out that it was pretty hot, but eatable. Well at least for me. It was painful in a good way, I even needed a glass of water to calm down the burning, which I don't often do, only with my momah's thai green curry actually.
The thing is: The slowlier you drink the soup, the more it will burn. So don't just take a mouthful to swallow, because that made me cough like an idiot. You gotta down the soup all the way, that's what I did, and it was strangely less hot to eat these ramen like that. The noodles are not that spicy, so if you really can't drink the broth no more because you're a weak-ass mollycoddle, eat the noodles, but I'm afraid they will also be too hot for you, wimp.
Beside the hotness, there is only saltyness, and the noodles are, like almost all Korean instant noodles, just okay, not too salty, but rather boring. But the hotness thing is really worth trying this one out.

XXXVII. NONG SHIM Kimchi Ramyun

Brand: NONG SHIM
Name: Kimchi Ramyun
Price: 1,20 €

Hi, dear readers, if you actually exist, it's been a while since this blog was updated, my apologies for that, because the bloggers are two lazy asses aka. students.
Anyways, we get to eat a lot of ramen like this, us being poor ass students who never have enough time to cook or go shopping for fresh and healthy food, or even get their asses up to go to lectures at university, HIGH FIVE SIS!!!

This big pack of Korean ramen was pretty appealing to me, because I FUCKING LOVE Korean food, and  Kimchi. Hell yeah. Ok, picspam now.

I like the noodles, they're round... x3 The dried stuff in the clear sachet looks pretty unidentifiable, though...

et voilá, doesn't this look amazing? Kimchi frezzles everywhere, carotte slices, leek, some other brown crap ehh stuff, and a nicely red-coloured broth, what you, unfortunately, can't see on the pictures.
The noodles are okay, a little bit weird in my opinion, because they are kinda mushy on the outside and hard inside as well, but maybe you have to decide for yourself, I found them eatable actually. The taste of the soup was pretty disappointing actually: It was just salty, not hot, not even spicey. But what disappointed me the most was the lack of Kimchi-flavour. I fucking bought Kimchi-Ramen, where is my Kimchi-flavour? The sour and hot taste of that, at least, but no, this broth was just as drowsy as Lana del Rey's voice. These dried vegetable pieces left me utterly dissatisfied, I have to say.

XXXVI. Wai Wai Instant noodles - vegetarian

Brand: Wai Wai
Name: Instant noodles - vegetarian
Price: 0,39 €

Fuck the EXP-date, I ate it half a year later without dying
We already reviewed Wai Wai's normal 'oriental style' Ramen here, which was pretty shitty, but read the review for yourself. This time, it's the vegetarian version, and I was at first not really sure if this ramen would  be also an insult to human taste buds. The package is already shitty, because the colours don't even suggest that the ramen is vegetarian/with vegetable flavour, while all the other brands have green packages. Yum Yum has, Indo Mie has, Vina AceCOCK has, just to mention a few. So don't mistake this vegetarian one with the NORMAL Wai Wai, because you will regret having bought the wrong sort that sucks.

The chili-sachet looks so cute, don't you think so, too? :3

I added some left-over fried vegetable/food/wintermelon/tofu/peanut-stuff which improved the taste of this soup so fucking much. But beside that, the soup is not even that bad. It's actually quite good, I have to admit. The noodles were nice, pretty perfect in their consistence, and the broth is nicely flavoured, too. Even after putting in the fried extra stuff that YOU DON'T HAVE (HAR HAR HAR!), the broth wasn't too salty or whatever, it still tasted amazing.
