43. Vewong A-One Tương tàu

Brand: Vewong
Name: A-One Tương tàu
Price: ?

Hello, dear readers, followers and random people that got lost in the Internet to stumble across this blog. I rose from the dead to, eh, blog. Sorry for keeping you waiting. (=_____=)"

This ramen here was actually a birthday present from my sister. No, wait.... could it be that she even gave me that before? I really can't remember. Well, anyways, here's the review:

First of all, I have to admit that, after eating these noodles, I thought I was having no fucking clue what Tương tàu actually is. I even googled it to make sure that Tương tàu is actually what I though it was before. It's a salty sauce made of black beans, containing whole pieces of them, too. What I went through here though was... pretty unexpected, I should say.

Only by opening the pack and seeing that it contained TWO(!!!!) packs of glutamate made me go like whuad. I even assumed that this soup must taste pretty decent if it contains so much glutamate. The bag down left I threw away immediately, it was chili. The one above contained a preeeeeeeeeeeeeetty strange oil/mass/fat portion, with little dark crumbs of something I cannot identify. One could suppose it was the black beans, but... go on reading, I'm still traumatised, actually...

here it still looks good, because I haven't tasted it yet

The red oil on the surface wasn't spicy, this soup wasn't spicy at all. At the beginning it tasted kinda sourish, later the broth is just salty, and very plain. I didn't taste any black beans at all, I have to admit. And I didn't even taste the two bags of glutamate! The broth was a 3/10.

And then, this popped up:

These curious dark, round crumbs. They looked like pepper, but they aren't. They tasted salty, which did remind me of black bean sauce though. But were crunchy. The crunchy type that, if you eat chicken drumsticks and come to the thinner lower side, you come upon some kind of darker bone stuff that is softer than actual bone and taste of nothing, but if you accidently chew it, it will stick between your teeth. Can anybody relate? Well it sounds pretty weird but these crumps reminded me of that.... I even tried to figure out what that was by looking it up on the ingredients, but..... I found nothing. This is so fucking suspicious, I tell ya.

Rating: I would not recommend this Ramen to you since I find it so suspicious and odd... Can somebody maybe tell me what that the black crumbs really are? Does anybody know? Oh my god, WHAT DID I JUST EAT?!?!??!?! (/;  A ;)/ (D)

XXXX. VINA ACECOOK Mi Lau Thai chicken

Brand: Vina Acecook
Name: Mi Lau Thai chicken
Price: 0,50 €

Yo, since I've just been hanging round lately, doing nothing but procrastinating and stuff and being unable to pull my shits together to get up from mah bed/away from the Internet, I thought I could also blog, since it's really been a while, sry.
=____="

So this time we have another guest review, my little brother with the code name 'Long Chicken' (xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD) tried this Ramen. Here's what he thinks of it:

If you think that every fucking Ramen looks the same, you're stupid, cuz it's not true. Look at this one, we have leek, dried onions (which look like brown spots of sh** xD) and white fungus up there, which I have never seen in instant ramen before!!

So my little brother, who is by the time he ate this 60/5+2^3-(32-(4*6)) years old, said this:

'This soup tastes strange.'
'It doesn't... really taste like chicken.'
'Yeah, it's okay.'
'It's spicy.'
'It rather tastes like lemon.'

'Hmm, it doesn't taste like chicken at all, it only tastes sour. It's very lemony.'

So when I asked him to grade this soup, he said 'something between B and C'. When I later came into the kitchen I saw the half-eaten left-over bowl standing there. My mom said that it was probably too spicy for him to finish it. Such a wimp.

Rating: According to the fact that he didn't want to finish this Ramen, this one gets a
C

[To all the dear readers
If you might have tested and tasted some Ramen, might them be awesome, tasty, nasty, aweful or disturbing, send them reviews in, we (or at least me (who atm tries really hard to become one/melt into her bed)) love to read and maybe even feature them in our blog.^^ Thank you very much for your support
of our sweet idleness hahaha

XXIV. Vifon Vietnamese Style Instant Noodles Chicken Flavour

Guess who's back? Again?
Hahahaha, I only missed out for three weeks! No need to get angry and miss me, ok? :P
I uhm... simply forgot about this blog.
Had lots of yummy, fresh, authentic, with-lots-of-love-made asian food from my mum, so I completely forgot, how to even spell I-N-S-T-A-N-T!
Well... that is until I remembered... that I do have to go back to my appartmant and ''cook'' and eat alone before long. I'll actually go back this weekend. TT_____TT

Thanks mummy for all the delicous food! I gained 3kg! 8D

Here is my review on Vifon Vietnamese Style Instant Noodles Chicken Flavour, which name I just copied and pasted from the entry below! Trololol

I must admit: I looooooove these!!! So, so, so, so, so delicous! *A*

Look at the package! It has noodles, chicken stripes, peppermint leaves, leek, chillis, onions, mushroom and a chicken egg (I believe...) on it! Such nice coloring! Makes you really want to buy it! :D

Inside is this...

...which turns out into this...

...and then this. (Too many pics and too lazy. xP)
Pour in your boiling water and you have...

...THIS! :D
Look at all those fat and grease bubbles! Yum!

Stir it and you have delicous Pho! And more fat and grease bubbles! xD

They are so delicous! 8Q________
Let's start with the smell. It has an awesome Pho smell full of spices, cinnamon and stuff, plain delicous. The smell can be discribed as a sweet flowery smell... wtf? o.O
There are veeery weird ''chicken'' pieces in it… they are chewy and tastes like… nothing? Hard to put into words but like something old? You get what I mean? No? >.<
Don’t pull the noodles to high, cause the most likely will rip and you will splash yourself and your laptop, papers and books with scalding hot and oily water! -.-''
Add your Sriracha Chilli Sauce for more awesome and authentic Pho, like the vietnamese Mum would make for you, if you had one! Chilli is always relevant. *___*
Conclusion: It's a little reminder of what you could get at home, mum-made with love. Mummy I ♥ you! *sobs* A generous A, because I love Pho and unlike my sister, haven't tried the bowl Pho yet. x3

XXIII. Vifon Vietnamese Style Instant Noodles Chicken Flavour

Brand: Vifon
Name: Phở Gà Vietnamese Style Instant Noodles Chicken Flavour
Price: 0,50 €

Have you guys already tried Phở, this freaking awesome noodle soup dish of mah very home country after reading this former post of mine about MAMA's Phở Gà? Yes? Then you're cool. No?  Then
SCREWWWWW YOUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahahaha. I actually don't care whatcha'll eatin', just sayin' that if you don't try Vietnamese phở once in your life you won't be a happy corpse in your coffin. Lol, what a crackbrained metaphor -______________-

the yellow flavour oil... looks kinda... X((
Vifon's phở is not as good as MAMA's Bowl of phở, the package is not as pretty as MAMA's Bowl of phở, the smell is not as aromatic as MAMA's Bowl of phở, the taste is not as tasty as MAMA's Bowl of phở, the price is not as pricey as as MAMA's Bowl of phở. It's also not really lame, it's just... lamer

I Still love it because, well, it's phở. Those strange-looking white chunks in the middle also taste like rubber and are supposed to portray the chicken in this story, I think. In any case, I had fun eating them.

Rating: Better try MAMA's bowl of pho, it's so much better IMO. This one's just pretty decent. B+

XX. MAMA Rice Noodles with Artificial Chicken Flavour

Brand: MAMA
Name: Rice Noodles with Artificial Chicken Flavour
Price: 1,50 €

Pho is probably the most known and most famous noodle soup of Vietnam, an actually pretty simple dish with delicious flat white rice noodles that feel smooth and sleek in your mouth, and meat broth companied by Chicken or Beef (phở gà = with Chicken, phở bò = with Beef; dear Marisha Pessl, you got that wrong in your novel Special Topics in Calamity PhysicsJust sayin'. Great book though). You also add tons of other fresh ingredients such as chili, lemon juice, and lots and lots of herbs, to make it so complete and perfect tasting. Even Matt Heafy, lead singer of Trivium and easily the hottest guy on earth, is crazy about Pho (check his blog if you want to try real good and fresh Vietnamese stuff in Seattle). OMG, can you please get divorced and marry me, you smokin' hot motherf*****? Haha, just joking. No, actally I'm not. -_- (Sorry, didn't mean to insult you, I just fucking want a baby from you har har)

clumpy flavouring oil, a powder sachet and another ugly plastic fork
picspaaaaam

If you don't have the chance or occasion to have freshly cooked Pho, I recommend this Instant Pho which is pretty delicous and satisfying if you are craving for it. The noodles are very thin which I like a lot, but if you eat them too cold or too slow they will taste weird in that cooled state, kinda brashly and floury, especially if they stick to your gums, because they are so flat OTL. The broth is pretty good, also, perfectly salted, pretty close to that typical Pho soup broth taste which you might have tried before if you are a cool person that is interested in Vietnamese food :D. There are also some weird Chicken (flavoured) chunks (not sure if it's real chicken Ö.ö), maybe to make up for the fact that the soup doesn't really taste like chicken, and dried vegetable pieces which make the soup not look totally boring. So thumbs up on this one!

XVI. VEWONG A-One Instant Noodlesoup Chicken Flavour

Brand: VEWONG
Name: A-One Instant Noodlesoup Chicken Flavour
Price: 0,50 €

Boring. Simply BOOOOOOOOOORING!!! I won’t review these normal A-One Ramen again in the future. There’s not much to say about it. High quality package, nice colours,... I think I will stop writing about these fucking packages, too, who cares about them anyway. It’s all rubbish, and after you have taken everything from the inside, you just throw it away like trash. Lol.

check out mah sexy Barbie bowl xD
I tried to get the dry noodles into a bowl too small, so I tried to break that bitch into little pieces. I ended up sweeping the entire kitchen floor. Asshole. Yeah, I’m talking to you, you brick of a noodle.

There is not much to say about the taste. Common chicken flavour, nothing special, a little bit too plain. The noodles I cooked were still quite a little bit too unsoft for me to like them, but maybe the water I used was too cold or I just didn’t get it right because I just came back at 1 PM from partying, having a maleficent hangover and the cold disgusting feeling of abandoness when I realized there was no food but Instant Noodles in da house. Well, at least the green stuff on top makes the soup look a little bit less boring than it really tastes.

XV. Vina Acecook Oh! Ricey Instant Porridge Artificial Chicken flavour

Brand: Vina Acecook
Name: Oh! Ricey Instant Porrigde Artificial Chicken flavour
Price: ?

Yay, here comes the first Instant Porridge review!!! Why am I reviewing porridge? Because it came in a small bright plastic pack, too, and I was too dumb to recognize that there was no hard brick of noodle inside!!! :D

Well, what can I say? No extra toy, boring rice flakes, boring powder and sauce bags... Porridge is like the 3 minutes you have to wait until your instant meal is done. Plain and boring.

This  porridge though has a really nice chicken flavour. Really rich and aromatic, and not even too obviously artificial tasting. The porride’s consistence is pretty weird though: It’s like slimy mash slash chunky slime. But I kinda like stuff like that. I’m a sucker for weird food. ;P

Rating: Pretty good if you’re craving for chicken and don’t have teeth/are too lazy to kill/buy/cook chicken intricately, or for whatever reason that doesn’t bother me. A- (though it’s not ramen and actually WTF is this one doing here anyways?! -______-”)

XII. Vina Acecook good Chicken Flavour

Hello!
This is a guestreview by our friend Tram!
It's actually an answer to this post by my sister.

Brand: Vina Acecook (<- a vietnamese brand!)
Name: good artificial chicken flavour
Price: I don't know. It was a gift 8D

LOLz. Well hello everyone! I'm not a regular blogger instantnoodleseater but I needed to convince my fellow name-mates that these noodles taste better than the one they tried. So I'm here to write this review for you guys. (side-note: my name actually fits really well to this blog, just sayin' :P)

As seen on the other review the packaging is similar, the only difference being the yellow color instead of the green one. I don't know why but chicken flavoured instant noodles are always yellow o_O (as seen by MAMA, YUMYUM, etc.). Of course the picture doesn't show spare ribs but the noodle soup with some chicken meat on it. Quite disturbing might I add because there is no meat in the actual package :<

Let's move on to the instructions:
Add 400ml boiled water to a bowl in which you have already put the noodles and the soup powder.
(I always skip the vegetables because they don't really add any improvement to the soup and taste like nothing, so why bother putting it in? I'm a lazy person okay?) I have to admit I only poured 250ml water because otherwise the taste would be gone and everything would be just watery and shitty.
So.
Here is what it looks like, still boiling.

After it's done boiling we can finally begin eating. The soup tastes really well, kinda salty but also quite spicy. I really like the taste of it and I think it's much better than the spare rips one. I usually like the chicken flavoured soups more for example I prefer Pho Ga (A vietnamese noodle soup) to Pho Bo (Same but with beef flavour). Anyways. As already mentioned the taste is really really nice, a good mixture of salty and spicy - and you can always make it less salty by reducing the amount of soup poweder

The noodles are... well not as soft as glass noodles are supposed to be; IF you ever tried the real glass noodles you know what I mean - but they are okay. Maybe I should have left them in the hot water a bit longer, but I'm always so hungry and impatient >3<

SO ... I give it a B+

I'll run to my local asia market and grab some more instant noodles now Ò^Ó
until next time ^O^//

X. Mi Goreng Rasa Ayam Panggang

Hello!
I'm effin' busy with exams coming up, but my sister (again) pestered me until I'm lying here in bed typing this now. -.-''
This is a review on Indo Mie Instant Noodles called Mi Goreng Rasa Ayam Panggang aka Barbeque Chicken Flavour Fried Noodles. JUMBO!!!
Made in Indonesia.

I was really intrigued in trying these, after me and my sister found out, you should make them in the MICROWAVE!!! *A*
So why don't you accompany me on my journey making this noodle dish!

Electric blue package! Thin and a little bit see through.

Clear instructions and easy to do. I can read some of the chinese letters, but habe vo idea of the context. -.-''

Okee... even my BIG bowl isn't big enough. This is a really big noodle brick. Oh, and it comes with A LOT of sachets...

After finding an appropriate container, for that big noodle brick, you have to add the veggies and water.
Then put it in the microwave. Instruction says, for 3 minutes in 850 Watt on HIGH mode.
I did, but they were still hard, so I put them in again for 2 minutes for them to become edible.

Meanwhile you mis all the remaining sachets on a plate. Left: Sweet soy sauce. Yummy! Right: Oil-something mix. o.O

Add the flavour powder into it and stir...
(I didn't add the chilli package, because it suspiciously reminded me of red saw dust and tasted like that too...)

...until it looks like this. I know what you are thinking, ok?! Dx

After draining the noodles and veggies, you pour it to your err... sauce-whatever-mix. -.-''

Stir well and you are done!!! :D
Looks a lot better now, right?

Ok, I have to admit I was on the verge of keening over from starving, so I liked those noodles A LOT. xD
The noodles are a little chewy, but after eating for a while, it's ok. They take on the flavour pretty well.
The taste is sweet and salty. Very rich flavour, almost salty. All noodles with supposedly BBQ taste, tend to taste weirdly sweet... seems like it's a tipycal way to interprete BBQ flavour. >.<
BUT after eating it, I had a weird taste on my tongue and it felt kinda numb... o___O
Very weird indeed.
Another downside to these kind of noodles are, that they turn cold pretty fast. =.=
After a while, it gets kinda boring to eat, so I add my favourite chilli sauce with garlic! Thanks Mommy!!! *____*

I don't like giving very bad marks, unlike my sister, because they are still very edible, so the mark is a B-
