49. MAMA Flat Yentafo

Brand: MAMA
Name: Flat Yentafo
Price: ~0,40 €

I already posted about the MAMA Yentafo soup with the thin rice noodles (see HERE). So this review is actually obsolete, because they taste the same. However I took some pictures, so enjoy:

ERMAHGERD IT'S PINK!!!
added some sweetly fried tofu pieces in there...... oouuuhhhhhwwwww they taste like heaven

The thing about the noodles is: They stick together, and those fat strangs are too hard. That's why I would recommend the thin noodles over these flat ric noodles, though they are not that good, either.

XXXIII. MAMA Oriental Style Insant Noodle (Chand Clear Soup)

Brand: MAMA
Name: Oriental Style Insant Noodle (Chand Clear Soup)
Price: ?

I have to admit that I still don't have a fucking clue what 'Oriental Style' is supposed to be. But look at the picture above, the french description is 'PREPARATION ALIMENTAIRE À BASE DE RIZ', and entre parenthèses 'À L'ARÔME DE RIZ'. So 'Oriental Style' obviously must have something to do with rice. Does the soup taste like rice? No. Do the noodles taste like rice? Well, they're made out of rice, so they taste like rice... WTF I still don't get it. Entangled in question marks.

blah blah, Pho + powder + green stuff + fat + some strange fatty chunks

I somehow can't get used to that 'Oriental Style' flavour. We already had it here in the past (lol check the mark), and I doubt that I will ever get used to it. I still love Pho, though (you can read all about it here) and these noodles are pretty good, too. They are evenly soft, not too mushy, not too hard, pretty perfect I dare say, they don't even stick to your gums while chewing, like MAMA's Pho Ga.
And then, we have, on the other hand, the broth. Which tastes... crap. I can't describe it, I just didn't like it, the flavours and spices in the soup were pretty strange, not like the common Pho-broth with the cinammon, ginger, star anise, cloves, fish sauce... So pretty unaromatic. It was okay to eat, the noodles made up for the strange taste of the soup.

XXIV. Vifon Vietnamese Style Instant Noodles Chicken Flavour

Guess who's back? Again?
Hahahaha, I only missed out for three weeks! No need to get angry and miss me, ok? :P
I uhm... simply forgot about this blog.
Had lots of yummy, fresh, authentic, with-lots-of-love-made asian food from my mum, so I completely forgot, how to even spell I-N-S-T-A-N-T!
Well... that is until I remembered... that I do have to go back to my appartmant and ''cook'' and eat alone before long. I'll actually go back this weekend. TT_____TT

Thanks mummy for all the delicous food! I gained 3kg! 8D

Here is my review on Vifon Vietnamese Style Instant Noodles Chicken Flavour, which name I just copied and pasted from the entry below! Trololol

I must admit: I looooooove these!!! So, so, so, so, so delicous! *A*

Look at the package! It has noodles, chicken stripes, peppermint leaves, leek, chillis, onions, mushroom and a chicken egg (I believe...) on it! Such nice coloring! Makes you really want to buy it! :D

Inside is this...

...which turns out into this...

...and then this. (Too many pics and too lazy. xP)
Pour in your boiling water and you have...

...THIS! :D
Look at all those fat and grease bubbles! Yum!

Stir it and you have delicous Pho! And more fat and grease bubbles! xD

They are so delicous! 8Q________
Let's start with the smell. It has an awesome Pho smell full of spices, cinnamon and stuff, plain delicous. The smell can be discribed as a sweet flowery smell... wtf? o.O
There are veeery weird ''chicken'' pieces in it… they are chewy and tastes like… nothing? Hard to put into words but like something old? You get what I mean? No? >.<
Don’t pull the noodles to high, cause the most likely will rip and you will splash yourself and your laptop, papers and books with scalding hot and oily water! -.-''
Add your Sriracha Chilli Sauce for more awesome and authentic Pho, like the vietnamese Mum would make for you, if you had one! Chilli is always relevant. *___*
Conclusion: It's a little reminder of what you could get at home, mum-made with love. Mummy I ♥ you! *sobs* A generous A, because I love Pho and unlike my sister, haven't tried the bowl Pho yet. x3

XXIII. Vifon Vietnamese Style Instant Noodles Chicken Flavour

Brand: Vifon
Name: Phở Gà Vietnamese Style Instant Noodles Chicken Flavour
Price: 0,50 €

Have you guys already tried Phở, this freaking awesome noodle soup dish of mah very home country after reading this former post of mine about MAMA's Phở Gà? Yes? Then you're cool. No?  Then
SCREWWWWW YOUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahahaha. I actually don't care whatcha'll eatin', just sayin' that if you don't try Vietnamese phở once in your life you won't be a happy corpse in your coffin. Lol, what a crackbrained metaphor -______________-

the yellow flavour oil... looks kinda... X((
Vifon's phở is not as good as MAMA's Bowl of phở, the package is not as pretty as MAMA's Bowl of phở, the smell is not as aromatic as MAMA's Bowl of phở, the taste is not as tasty as MAMA's Bowl of phở, the price is not as pricey as as MAMA's Bowl of phở. It's also not really lame, it's just... lamer

I Still love it because, well, it's phở. Those strange-looking white chunks in the middle also taste like rubber and are supposed to portray the chicken in this story, I think. In any case, I had fun eating them.

Rating: Better try MAMA's bowl of pho, it's so much better IMO. This one's just pretty decent. B+

XX. MAMA Rice Noodles with Artificial Chicken Flavour

Brand: MAMA
Name: Rice Noodles with Artificial Chicken Flavour
Price: 1,50 €

Pho is probably the most known and most famous noodle soup of Vietnam, an actually pretty simple dish with delicious flat white rice noodles that feel smooth and sleek in your mouth, and meat broth companied by Chicken or Beef (phở gà = with Chicken, phở bò = with Beef; dear Marisha Pessl, you got that wrong in your novel Special Topics in Calamity PhysicsJust sayin'. Great book though). You also add tons of other fresh ingredients such as chili, lemon juice, and lots and lots of herbs, to make it so complete and perfect tasting. Even Matt Heafy, lead singer of Trivium and easily the hottest guy on earth, is crazy about Pho (check his blog if you want to try real good and fresh Vietnamese stuff in Seattle). OMG, can you please get divorced and marry me, you smokin' hot motherf*****? Haha, just joking. No, actally I'm not. -_- (Sorry, didn't mean to insult you, I just fucking want a baby from you har har)

clumpy flavouring oil, a powder sachet and another ugly plastic fork
picspaaaaam

If you don't have the chance or occasion to have freshly cooked Pho, I recommend this Instant Pho which is pretty delicous and satisfying if you are craving for it. The noodles are very thin which I like a lot, but if you eat them too cold or too slow they will taste weird in that cooled state, kinda brashly and floury, especially if they stick to your gums, because they are so flat OTL. The broth is pretty good, also, perfectly salted, pretty close to that typical Pho soup broth taste which you might have tried before if you are a cool person that is interested in Vietnamese food :D. There are also some weird Chicken (flavoured) chunks (not sure if it's real chicken Ö.ö), maybe to make up for the fact that the soup doesn't really taste like chicken, and dried vegetable pieces which make the soup not look totally boring. So thumbs up on this one!
