43. Vewong A-One Tương tàu

Brand: Vewong
Name: A-One Tương tàu
Price: ?

Hello, dear readers, followers and random people that got lost in the Internet to stumble across this blog. I rose from the dead to, eh, blog. Sorry for keeping you waiting. (=_____=)"

This ramen here was actually a birthday present from my sister. No, wait.... could it be that she even gave me that before? I really can't remember. Well, anyways, here's the review:

First of all, I have to admit that, after eating these noodles, I thought I was having no fucking clue what Tương tàu actually is. I even googled it to make sure that Tương tàu is actually what I though it was before. It's a salty sauce made of black beans, containing whole pieces of them, too. What I went through here though was... pretty unexpected, I should say.

Only by opening the pack and seeing that it contained TWO(!!!!) packs of glutamate made me go like whuad. I even assumed that this soup must taste pretty decent if it contains so much glutamate. The bag down left I threw away immediately, it was chili. The one above contained a preeeeeeeeeeeeeetty strange oil/mass/fat portion, with little dark crumbs of something I cannot identify. One could suppose it was the black beans, but... go on reading, I'm still traumatised, actually...

here it still looks good, because I haven't tasted it yet

The red oil on the surface wasn't spicy, this soup wasn't spicy at all. At the beginning it tasted kinda sourish, later the broth is just salty, and very plain. I didn't taste any black beans at all, I have to admit. And I didn't even taste the two bags of glutamate! The broth was a 3/10.

And then, this popped up:

These curious dark, round crumbs. They looked like pepper, but they aren't. They tasted salty, which did remind me of black bean sauce though. But were crunchy. The crunchy type that, if you eat chicken drumsticks and come to the thinner lower side, you come upon some kind of darker bone stuff that is softer than actual bone and taste of nothing, but if you accidently chew it, it will stick between your teeth. Can anybody relate? Well it sounds pretty weird but these crumps reminded me of that.... I even tried to figure out what that was by looking it up on the ingredients, but..... I found nothing. This is so fucking suspicious, I tell ya.

Rating: I would not recommend this Ramen to you since I find it so suspicious and odd... Can somebody maybe tell me what that the black crumbs really are? Does anybody know? Oh my god, WHAT DID I JUST EAT?!?!??!?! (/;  A ;)/ (D)
